This practice, with just over 1900 patients, is looking for a permanent or long-term General Practitioner to work anywhere between 0.6FTE to full-time. You will be supported by a full-time nurse practitioner (who has prescribing rights), 2 nurses, practice manager and a receptionist. You will be part of a friendly working environment with professional support and CME opportunities. An excellent remuneration package is available for the right candidate and accommodation and a vehicle will be negotiable.
The Waiau River runs through Tuatapere and the town lies just 8km from the South Coast, looking onto Stewart Island. The nearest city, Invercargill, is just over an hour away and is home to their regional hospital. There is much to do in the surrounding area, whether you take a ferry to the unspoilt Stewart Island with its clear waters, lush rainforest and sweeping sands, or you venture in to the great Fiordland National Park. Here you can have the thrill ride of your life on their jet boats, winding 74kms around the many rapids or go for a few days hike through the breath-taking scenery. If skiing has been a favourite pastime then you will be pleased to know that Queenstown, which is just 2.5 hrs away, offers some awesome skiing fields and hosts the Winter Festival, known to be the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest party.
