NZLocums was developed by rural GPs for rural GPs! We don’t operate as a normal recruitment agency does in so far as charging placement fees - our service is free to rural general practices and GPs. We assist approximately 220 rural general (family) practices in New Zealand. They can be found in small towns close to major rural centres or in remote settlements located in the most beautiful places in New Zealand, with mountains, beaches, lakes or rivers at your doorstep.
NZLocums staff will:
• Assist you in finding employment in a suitable position
• Advise you on salary and benefits applicable to New Zealand practices
• Place you in direct contact with GPs and administrative staff at the prospective employing practice
• Place you in direct contact with previous locums who have worked at the prospective practice
• Organise your attendance at our 3 day Orientation
• Advise and assist you in negotiating a contract with the prospective employer
• Advise and assist you with the New Zealand Medical Council Registration process
• Advise and assist you with Immigration procedures
