We are seeking a permanent GP to join this friendly and supportive practice, based in central Wellington. The practice has a great team of experienced GPs and nurses and are ideally looking for a female GP to work up to eight sessions per week.

The practice employs nine GPs and a full time practice manager, and is owned by three GP partners. They have a very broad patient base which includes very high needs right through to very affluent. GPs see patients of various backgrounds and ethnicities, and the ideal applicant would be open minded with excellent communication skills.

The practice has a community focus and provides a range of services such as minor surgery, integrative and holistic care, mental health support and palliative care.


This practice has a supportive and fun working environment where staff development is encouraged. Based in central Wellington, there are many opportunities for professional development and collegial interaction.  

Hours per week can be flexible for the right applicant.


Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city; and with excellent cafes, restaurants, wine and craft beer, and a range of events, it is also known as New Zealand’s ‘Capital of Culture’. The city is home to many museums, theatres and arts festivals, including Te Papa Tongarewa (the Museum of New Zealand), the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, and the biennial Festival of the Arts.

Wellington is New Zealand’s centre of government, and third most populous urban area. It is also a leading centre for creative industries, such as film and computer technology.

The city is situated alongside Wellington Harbour and surrounded by native forest. For outdoor enthusiasts there are a range of opportunities including Zealandia, the beautiful Kapiti Coast, the Wairarapa wine region and Rimutaka Forest Park.
