We are seeking a locum or permanent general practitioner for a GP owned practice based in central Rotorua.

The position starts in mid-May, and the ideal candidate will be able to commit through to December. There is also the option to stay on if both parties are happy.

The practice employs 6 permanent, long-standing GP’s, 6 nurses and 5 administrators and has approximately 5900 enrolled patients; made up of 50/50 male and female, and ranging in ages from babies to the elderly.

The clinic is located in central Rotorua and there is a pharmacy just across the road. As well as the usual general medical consults the practice offers minor surgery, ECG’s, spirometry, home visits to rest home patients and very unwell patients.

The practice is seeking a GP to work up to eight sessions per week. GPs also take part in the after-hours roster at Lakes Primecare, which involves around two after hours shifts per month.

Rotorua is known for its beautiful lakes, spectacular geothermal attractions, stunning scenery, and its warm and friendly people.
