Role

We are seeking an experienced general practitioner to take up a full time position in a small and friendly practice based in Auckland.

The practice has around 2000 enrolled patients of mixed demographic and various ethnicities. The GP is well supported by an experienced nurse, practice manager and two receptionists.

The clinic provides a wide range of general practice services and is fully equipped for minor surgery. There is a pharmacy onsite, and specialists also visit the clinic on a regular basis.

The practice is looking to employ a GP on a fixed term basis initially. The length of contract can be negotiated, however ideally at least 3 months to start. The clinic is open from 9am-5pm and the position is ten sessions/five days per week.  The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards FRNZCGP.

Location

Auckland is easily New Zealand's largest city, with a population of around 1.18 million in the greater area. The city is renowned for its beauty; you will find 100km of coastline crammed with stunning beaches, over 20 regional parks, two marine reserves and a landscape dotted with volcanic cones. The region is surrounded by water, making it a perfect place to enjoy sailing and other water sports. When you visit Auckland you will quickly see why it is called "The City of Sails".

The city has a huge range of attractions and activities. You can dine at more than 800 restaurants, enjoy spectacular views from the top of the Sky Tower, and visit theatres, museums and art galleries. Auckland is a very culturally diverse city, and alongside English you’ll hear many people speaking Maori, or Polynesian and Asian languages.
