  • GP CME Prize winner

    Dr Julie Clark was NZLocums’ lucky prize draw winner at the GP CME conference held in Rotorua over the weekend (June 8 - 11). Dr Clark will be working with NZLocums in the near future to provide cover within rural New Zealand.   • Conference 2018 venue announced

    Auckland will host the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network’s 2018 national rural health conference. The venue is the Pullman Hotel and the dates are April 5 to 8.

    “We try and keep the dates about the same year to year, so it’s a regular fixture on the calendar and people can reliably lock it in to their busy year,” says Network Chief Executive Dalton Kelly.

  • South Island placements for overseas doctors

    Dr Kathleen Driesen from Belgium and Dr Karl Erath from Australia attended NZLocums’ June Orientation course in Wellington before heading off to work in rural and urban practices (respectively) in the South Island. Dr Driesen will be based at Oamaru Doctors for 12 months and Dr Erath, originally from Germany, has a permanent role at Gardens Medical Centre, in Dunedin.
